The Wilmotte Foundation hosts the Collateral Event of the 60th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, titled “Lee Bae – La Maison de la Lune Brûlée,” a solo exhibition of the Korean artist curated by Valentina Buzzi.
Lee Bae, a prominent figure in the dansaekhwa movement (Korean monochrome), explores the intrinsic connection between humans and the natural world, focusing on themes of renewal, circularity, and the harmonious rhythms of nature. He employs a gestural and ritualistic approach to painting, using the foundation’s space as a blank canvas.
The exhibition’s visual identity reflects these concepts with a minimalist and monochromatic approach. Using the GT Flexa Mono font, the typography takes a circular form, always occupying a central position and overlapping with the artist’s Brushstrokes on all media types.
