Palazzo Zon with Soap Culture is opening its space with the exhibition “Lavati la bocca con il sapone” from April 18 to June 15, 2024.
Soap Culture, a platform for investigation, research, and expression spanning multiple senses and disciplines, initiated by Murmur (Sofia Elias and Barnabé Fillion) is not merely a conduit for ideas but a multimedia playground born out of conversations with a friend. This project delves into soap not solely as a material substance but as a subculture, questioning its origin: nature and culture.
For the exhibition “Lavati la bocca con il sapone”, Soap Culture features multidisciplinary works by Manuel Alvarez Bravo, Miroslaw Balka, Etienne Chambaud, Phil Collins, Mimosa Echard, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Mona Hatoum, Thembinkosi Hlatswayo, Thomas Mailaender, Murmur, Gabriel Orozco, Max Piva, Teodoro Teadora, Wolfgang Tillmans, Rare Books, Namacheko, and Lowjack.
