cArte, Museo Diffuso della Carta e della Stampa di Venezia

cArte is the new expanded museum of paper and print in Venice, promoted by the AIKU arte | impresa | cultura and the Fondazione Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia thanks to the support of the Regione Veneto through the Fondo Sociale Europeo.

cArte is a thematic museum/itinerary composed of seven stops/artistic workshops linked to the world of paper and printing – Ca’ Macana, Carter a ai Frari, Fallani Venezia, Itaca Art Studio, Plum Plum Creations, Roberto Moro, veneziastampa – who network to better communicate their activities and knowledge to citizens and tourists but also a very important part of history for the city of Venice

cArte’s itinerary aims to enhance this particular productive sector which represents a still vital world inside the historical center of the city, thanks to the ability of the artisans to combine tradition and innovation of styles and production techniques. Through an exhibition set up, the result of the joint work between Ca ‘Foscari and local creative and cultural companies each workshop/stop of the widespread museum will host a dedicated corner which will explain the techniques, materials, machinery and activities related to each specific craft, and will communicate both its own specific uniqueness and its thematic links with the others stops.
